REGISTRATION FOR NEW GARDENERS

The application form for new gardeners will be available on the website by March 1st 2026.  Applications will be accepted beginning March 23rd 2026. Applications submitted before March 23rd 2026 will not be accepted.

    • Applications are considered in the order they are opened at the registration desk.

    • As soon as all available plots have been allotted, registration will be closed and no further applications accepted.

    • Unsuccessful applications that arrive before registration closes, will be wait listed till mid June in the event that some registered gardeners withdraw.

    • Those wishing to apply must do so by submitting the New Gardener Application Form by mail. Currently we cannot accept e-mail applications.

    • While We will not be accepting registrations from new gardeners until March 23rd 2026, potential new gardeners with questions are welcome to stop and talk to our volunteers at the in-person registration event on March 7th 2026.
    •
    • All new and potential gardeners should be aware that 2026 may be the last year we will be able to garden at our current location. Our garden space belongs to the University of Regina.  They have provided us this space at no cost since 1985. Our arrangement is set out in a lease from the University, which has always included a clause allowing the university to terminate the lease when and if they ever need the land. The University advised us in December that they are considering development of the land and so have advised us that they may not renew our lease for 2027. We will learn that later this year. The Garden Board has begun the process of looking for alternate sites.
